Death of an Artist Collection
Rusty As You May Look, You Are Much More Than The Sum Of Your Parts
Death of an Artist
As someone that focuses on my weaknesses; thinks constantly about what needs to be improved, finished, dreamt up, I do not take enough time to think about what I have accomplished. I do not spend enough time reflecting on how everything I have achieved has helped me to build a life. The image shows cars in a junk yard representing a pile of what seems like waste that will eventually be recycled. Still useful despite its appearance. A vehicle takes flight in difficult terrain, old, looking beaten, but its structure and internal workings allow it to fly. A bulldozer piles old concrete to be recycled, and a rusty old wheelbarrow pours the dirt that grows this year's flowers. Utility and excellence do not depend on aesthetics.
