Shop the Collection: Death of an Artist
Art that leaves a mark. Apparel that tells a story.
Every item in this collection holds more than just fabric or pigment—it holds a piece of the process. These are not mass-produced goods. They’re touchpoints of a journey, stitched with meaning and layered with memory.
Whether you're wearing the Death of an Artist hoodie or standing in front of one of Joseph Ross’s original works, you're not just a supporter—you’re part of the unfolding.
Death of an Artist - My Take on Being in an Angry, Beautiful, Hopeful, Dismal New World (the Step Toward Being Different)
This is the first piece created for the show. It represents my thoughts and feelings about topics of the day including identity, past leadership, turning the camera on us while understanding history. It is about critical thinking (or lack thereof).
It is about perspective, and it marks the appearance of holes being punch in magazine, newspapers and book as a way to represent two things:
- that we can add or remove elements from history and fact that create new narratives
- that we can change the narratives or share the same information in a new way by adding our lens.
The drops of ink represent what we write about life both in Analog and digital form and how everything influences us around us. This piece sets the context for the head space of the artist, and his hope that we learn to read and research, even in a world where information is taken away from us and transparency reduces visibility. That does not reduce our ability or requirement as humans to be moral, ethical, and educated.
Follow along as each new piece comes to life, leading up to the full reveal at the Exhibition on Saturday, June 7, 2025 in Calgary.
